Expressing myself through cats :)
Do you also feel you really need longer stretches of alone time? I often feel this way. And I know most people don’t understand it.
A lot of my designs express my feelings and this one is no exception:
It’s exaggerated, of course. I don’t think I would need a year or two. But lately I’ve been spending a bit too much time with people, and now I need need some distance.
Wild Creature
When I opened my store, Fox Shiver, I thought it was going to be full of foxes. I planned to draw a lot of foxes during winter, in the forests and caves. Somehow I ended up making designs with cats instead, and only occasionally some other animals. But yesterday I made a new design with a fox.:
The design makes use of negative space for the fox’s form— it means that the fox is not really painted, but the trees are erased in such a way that a fox is shown.

A while ago I said that I wanted to have a separate place for my horror designs. But I don’t think I will have time for so many stores — I already have my Fox Shiver and Trufflepig stores. And I don’t even have that many horror designs — in fact, I have just one! 🙂
It doesn’t look like I will have enough horror-themed designs to open a store just for them. So I added my “Weird Dog” design to my Fox Shiver store.
Duck
I’ve recently drawn a simple white cat on a black background. This time I’ve drawn a duck. I might create a whole series of white animals.
